Vanilla RTX Normals
Vanilla RTX with handcrafted 16x normal maps for every block, defining the curvature of each pixel.

Complete ray tracing support for the vanilla game, in a way that feels native to it: one cohesive vision and art direction for Minecraft with RTX, in continuous development since 2020.
Every material is designed to elevate each block's character while preserving its original style, function, and the artist's intent behind the texture.
Appearance stays consistent across every block of the same material: the gold on a gold block, a gold ore and a golden rail all look and feel the same, and the wood of a lectern matches oak planks. On top of that, everything is tuned to sit well under Minecraft RTX's usual lighting, because with textures this small, every pixel matters.
Biome atmospheres are built around known official concept behind each biome, alongside dozens of enhancements that keep the game's latest content working properly with ray tracing.

The Vanilla RTX resource pack. Everything is covered, with 16x heightmaps for that distinctive Minecraft RTX depth.
The composition of Vanilla RTX and Vanilla RTX Normals, featuring an unprecedented level of detail.
Rather not manage files by hand? The Vanilla RTX App installs all three, keeps them up to date, and launches the game with ray tracing switched on.
Vanilla RTX uses 16x heightmaps, which the game turns into a higher-resolution (192x) normal map to create an impression of depth on flat surfaces. The way Mojang made heightmaps look in Minecraft RTX is unique and stylish, and they were made for low-resolution textures like the vanilla ones.
Vanilla RTX Normals uses 16x normal maps instead. They define the curvature of surfaces and the direction light bounces off each individual pixel. Pairing 16x normal maps with 16x textures is the more conventional approach.
Both are arguably a true vanilla experience, and both views are equally valid, so both are maintained and updated together. Only one can be active at a time, and each gives every block a distinct look.
Vanilla RTX Opus is the latest and final variant, combining both into one pack for an unprecedented level of detail.
Vanilla RTX ships workarounds for almost every resource-related ray tracing issue: glowing entity eyes that actually glow, invisibility that hides mobs properly, entities that no longer render black, and dozens more. Drag across the image to compare.

Vanilla RTX, its companion app and everything else here is free for every player. Supporters on Ko-fi help keep it that way, and get early access to updates, an early look at work in progress, and a place in the credits.
